KINGSTOWN, Rhode Island – Eurofins Microbiology will be hosting local partners and food industry leaders at a lab open house and food safety training on March 28 at a new laboratory in Kingstown, Rhode Island.
Attendees will get a first look into the new state-of-the-art laboratory of global scientific leader Eurofins Scientific (EUFI.PA) and access to two complementary food safety trainings.
“Eurofins would like to showcase its commitment to quality and its position as service provider to the Food Industry, helping manufacturers running effective food safety programs,” said Alexander Louis, business unit manager with Eurofins Microbiology Laboratories Inc.
The event will feature tours of the microbiology laboratory, networking, and food and beverages in addition to the educational sessions.
Eurofins Training and Consulting is offering two complementary training courses on pressing food safety regulation during the event. A foreign supplier verification program (FSVP) training will cover the complicated definition of an ‘importer’ under FDA rule and how all manufacturers can prepare. The second complementary training will discuss how quality teams can convert their HACCP plan to a food safety plan for Preventive Controls compliance.
“My team is excited to connect with our partners in New England,” said Gary Smith, director, Eurofins Food Safety Systems. “We do not offer these complementary, small customizable trainings often, so it will be a great opportunity for all involved.”
Eurofins scientists from various branches will be on-site to demonstrate the latest technologies and procedures Eurofins Scientific employs to protect food manufacturers, packagers and distributors from food safety challenges and related financial or reputational damages.
